My background

I am half-South African and have spent years in Africa – from childhood Christmases in South Africa to a solo, six-month drive in 2021, exploring from Cape Town to Tanzania and back. My passion for the continent has shaped both my life and career, connecting me deeply with its beauty and diversity.

Growing up, trips to Mossel Bay to visit my grandmother sparked a lifelong love for travel. In my twenties I lived in Cape Town, learnt to sail, and skippered yachts around the world. However, Africa always called me back. My most cherished memory is a six-week trip with my dad across Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries, exploring six national parks and discovering unique cultures and landscapes. Sharing these experiences with loved ones makes them even more meaningful.
