My background

Growing up in Malawi, I was fortunate to have a grandfather who regaled me with tales of his adventures in the wilderness. From charging elephants to a leopard in someone’s kitchen, his stories often featured enthralling elements of jeopardy, and I yearned for my own exciting experiences in Africa’s wild places.

Nothing but breathing the air of Africa, and actually walking through it, can communicate the indescribable sensations
William Burchell

I have been fortunate to realise these dreams in some of the continent’s most beautiful and untouched landscapes. My formative years on safari ignited a fascination with the natural world that endures to this day.

Africa has incredible wildlife and wonderful people. Yet some of my fondest African memories are of little things, often easily overlooked. The smell in the air as the first rains begin to fall after the long dry season, or the sound of the dawn chorus welcoming a new day in the bushveld. These sensations are impossible to convey with words alone; they must be experienced. Knowing that I have the privilege of giving people these beautiful, enriching experiences through incredible journeys is why I love what I do.
