My background

Exploring rock pools at the coast and hiking in the mountains are some of my earliest childhood memories in South Africa. However, it was only once I had left school, completed my studies and taken my first flight that I understood the true meaning of ‘travel’ and how travel experiences shape us.

After a ‘Gap Year’ abroad, I returned to South Africa with the ‘travel bug’ and excitedly started work in the travel industry. After a further few years, including a year in Dubai, I moved back to the UK, all the while passionately promoting and creating bespoke luxury travel itineraries to Southern and East Africa.

As my knowledge and experience have developed over the last 27 years, so has my love for Africa with its diverse landscapes, colourful cultures, and nearly unlimited experiences. On safari, immersed in the bush, with the warm African sun on my face and ‘that’ sense of place, is a privilege, a joy, that I never take for granted.
