When’s the best time to travel as a couple?

The best time often falls outside peak travel periods, avoiding the busy time of May to September. Shoulder and summer seasons offer excellent wildlife viewing with fewer guests, softer light and a quieter atmosphere in camp. This creates a more relaxed experience overall, with greater availability of private vehicles, preferred rooms and personalised experiences.

Can we have our own vehicle or villa?

Yes. Many of our safari camps offer optional private game-drive vehicles, as well as suites or villas designed for complete seclusion. These options allow full control over daily activities, timings and routes, and are especially popular for honeymoons, anniversaries and milestone trips. Just be sure to book well in advance to secure yours.

What activities suit couples best?

Activities that allow time and conversation tend to work best. Mokoro excursions, sundowner barge trips, sleep-outs, wellness treatments and conservation experiences are all well suited to couples. These experiences are immersive without being rushed, and allow you to engage at your own pace.
