What is a private safari?

A private safari is one that takes place within an exclusive wilderness area, where only Wilderness and our guests are permitted. It can also include a private guide and vehicle for game drives without other guests.

Which camps offer exclusive use?

Depending on availability, any of our camps could be booked out for the sole us of you and your party. However, we recommend the following camps for group bookings:Wilderness Little RuckomechiWilderness Mombo and Little Mombo Wilderness DumaTau and Little DumaTau Wilderness Busanga Bush Camp Wilderness Linyanti Tented Camp

How do transfers and private charters work?

A Wilderness representative will be in charge of all of your airport and inter-camp transfers, when you book directly through one of our Travel Designers. Depending on your destination, you may also fly to our camps via our private charter airline, Wilderness Air, with other guests.

Can I book a private vehicle?

Families with kids under 12 are required to book a private vehicle. If your children are older, but you prefer to be alone as a family or simply enjoy a game drive at your own pace, you can also book a private vehicle. Talk to your Travel Designer to arrange ahead of your trip.

Are private safaris suitable for children?

Many of our camps allow children, but be sure to chat to your Travel Designer about age restrictions at specific properties.
