Simone Stråhle joins the Wilderness team as its new Chief Marketing Officer, bringing over 10 years of brand and digital consultancy experience in the luxury travel and hospitality sector across category-leading brands. In this role, Simone will oversee brand, marketing and digital direction for the company, and support Wilderness’ ambitious expansion plans and global presence.

Swedish-born Simone grew up in the southern coastal city of Helsingborg. Living by the sea, with a love of the outdoors, nature and animals, she spent her youth either on the football field or on horseback. Simone moved to London at the age of 18 to pursue a career in marketing, and holds a degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of the Arts, London.
Before joining Wilderness, Simone was a Senior Consultant and Account Director at Matter Of Form (MOF), a design experience agency based in London, whose client portfolio includes Aman Resorts, Belmond, Dogus Group, Lindblad Expeditions, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF and many others. Prior to MOF, she worked as a project lead at a digital production studio, Propeller Communications, and before that as the Head of National Media and Sales for a media and tech start-up, DesignMyNight.com – now the UKs fastest growing nightlife discovery and booking site.

Simone’s focus has been on delivering value to her clients by answering strategic business objectives with creative solutions, and she has led award-winning projects spanning business strategy, brand identity, customer experience, digital transformation, as well as campaign and content development. She played a key role in building MOF during her seven-year tenure and was instrumental in developing the agency’s campaign and content offering, having worked on large productions for both ATL (Above the Line) and BTL (Below the Line) advertising.
Given Wilderness’ ambitious expansion plans and mission to double its land under conservation over the next few years, Simone is thrilled to be playing a vital role in overseeing the evolution of the Wilderness brand, as well as the digital end-to-end customer experience.

She brings a deep understanding of the affluent consumer and their needs and motivations, ensuring there is an emotional connection and connected experience, across all aspects of the product, leading to unparalleled brand loyalty, as well as reaching new audiences.
After working with Wilderness for close to a year, consulting on their brand and business strategy, Simone was captivated by the company’s balance of world-class hospitality and endless drive to protect the planet’s most important wild places and species.
“I am honoured to be joining a company with such an incredibly important mission, and to be working with a team of passionate and smart people. The last couple of years have been challenging for the hospitality and travel sector but I am excited to come on board at such an important time in the company’s growth and help the brand reach its full potential. Having also come from a background where wild landscapes became my place of reflection, I consider myself lucky to now be able to marry my professional experience with something I truly love and care for”, notes Simone.
