Wilderness Mombo (3-nights)

Your introduction to Botswana’s renowned Okavango Delta begins at the mother of all camps, Wilderness Mombo. Known as the ‘place of plenty,’ Wilderness Mombo epitomises the quintessential Delta experience; chic, sustainable, and utterly wild. In a prime position on Chief’s Island, Wilderness Mombo has been welcoming guests for more than 30 years; they return again and again for the magnificence of the camp, the warmth of the staff, and some of the best year-round game viewing in Botswana.

Out on game drives at Mombo, experience unforgettable wildlife sightings up-close; predators on the hunt, an abundance of plains game, and outstanding birdlife. In camp, lounge at the pool while elephants amble by, heading for water in the midday heat.

Still Wilderness’ flagship camp, Mombo has retained the original charm, heritage and legends of those early Delta days, while upping the comfort and style as the years went by. Most recently rebuilt in 2018, Wilderness Mombo increased the luxury without losing the ethos of the original bush camp, and wildlife encounters remain as exceptional as ever.

Wilderness DumaTau (3-nights)

Up-close encounters, immersive excursions, extreme comfort in an exquisite setting – an exceptional wilderness awaits at DumaTau. Situated close to the source of the famed Savuti Channel, wake to a chorus of grunting hippos, birdsong, and the sound of elephants munching. Wander down to Osprey Retreat, a new addition to DumaTau when it was rebuilt in 2021. Overlooking Osprey Lagoon, indulge in a spa treatment while gazing out into nature, then head over to the lagoon-side pool and watch the passing wildlife.

The name DumaTau means ‘roar of the lion’ in Setswana, but you’ll find it is also the domain of elephants. While predators thrive in the pristine Linyanti, great herds of elephants criss-crossing ancient wildlife corridors are also a constant feature of a DumaTau safari. With eight ultra-spacious tented suites, each with a private plunge pool, and raised on wooden walkways, DumaTau invites a private, immersive experience.

Added to the exceptional game viewing, the spa, floating fire pit and sparkling pool overlooking the water have earned DumaTau its award-winning status.

Wilderness Jao (3-nights)

For some three decades, Wilderness Chitabe has earned a reputation as one of the Okavango Delta’s most extraordinary safari destinations. Set on a wildlife-rich peninsula, its diverse landscapes and mosaic of habitats draw an unparalleled abundance of game year-round. But beyond the remarkable sightings, Chitabe is a place where guests feel at home – a camp shaped by a team whose deep-rooted connection creates a rare and timeless magic.

And now, with a fresh, sustainable design, rebuilt Chitabe remains true to its roots while embracing the future.

Chitabe’s impressive diversity of habitats makes it one of Botswana’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. The convergence of the Gomoti and Santantadibe channels create a kind of peninsula, which supports a rich, year-round game viewing paradise. Here, prides of lions, packs of wild dogs, and a remarkable cheetah population hunt the plains, with no fewer than 50 leopards recorded at Chitabe.
