Bose “Boss” Masala has been a professional and dedicated employee of Wilderness Air Botswana for 23 years. In his current role as Wilderness Air Botswana Meet & Greet Liaison Manager, Boss excels in efficiently dealing with Wilderness guests every day, where his welcome ensures that they will be very well taken care off.
Boss joined Wilderness Air (then Sefofane Air Charters) in 1998 as a Porter, until being promoted to Meet & Greet Supervisor in 2011. Additionally, in 2008 Boss successfully completed his Private Pilot’s Licence, sponsored by Wilderness Air. Armed with the basics of flying he is an excellent support to the pilots, and often goes beyond call of duty to help out with their flight planning.
As a testament to his dedication and hard work, Boss was presented with the 2011 Service Hero of the Year award (at the time, encompassing every aspect of Wilderness Safaris’ operation). The entire Wilderness Air Group was extremely proud of Boss, and the award included an incredible prize of a trip to North Island in the Seychelles.
”I was super excited and overwhelmed at winning this prize, as it made me realise that my hard work had not gone unnoticed; I will be forever grateful for this truly amazing experience”, says Boss.
Boss’s unrelenting dedication to customer satisfaction saw him appointed as Wilderness Air Botswana Service Co-ordinator in September 2014. Further growth came in October 2018, when he was appointed head of Meet & Greet and Guest Liaison. This role came with additional responsibilities, leading a team of a dedicated guest-centric service providers. This coincided with the opening of Wilderness Air lounges across its areas of operation, further extending the pioneering prowess of Wilderness Air’s unparalleled guest service.
