Inspired by the sparkling blue Lake Rwanyakazinga, on the banks of which Magashi is situated, the Magashi Sky is a perfect accompaniment to an afternoon relaxing on the deck and taking in the breathtaking sights and sounds of this Rwandan gem.
HOW TO MAKE THE MAGASHI SKY
Magashi Sky Cocktail
- 50ml White Rum (Bacardi)
- 25ml Cointreau or Triple Sec 25ml Lemon Juice
- 15ml Sugar Syrup
- 25ml Blue Curacao
- Mint leaves
- Ice & Cocktail Shaker
- Martini Glass
Method
1. Add ice to your cocktail shaker as well as the white rum, Cointreau, lemon juice, sugar syrup and mint leaves. Shake all ingredients for 10 to 15 seconds
2. Strain cocktail into martini glass
3. Slowly add the Blue Curacao using a stirring spoon, place the spoon (with the back facing upwards) on top of the martini glass and add the blue curacao slowly so it settles on the bottom
4. Garnish with mint leaves (optional)
5. Sip and enjoy!
