Children in the Wilderness (CITW) plans on launching a new Eco-Club, and Rev. P.A Schmidt, a primary school in Maltahohe, was identified as a potential partner.

Maltahohe is a village in southern Namibia, in an area close to the Wilderness camps on the Kulala Wilderness Reserve at Sossusvlei.

CITW Namibia’s Programme Coordinator Agnes Tjirare, and Administrative Assistant Juliet Binda, met with the school principal, Mr Gawaseb, and some of the 32 teachers at the school, which hosts some 1 000 learners.

CITW’s plan is to collaborate with the Maltahohe Constituency Councillor and community to implement a sustainability programme that will complement the school curriculum and advocate Sustainable Development Goals.

We look forward to sharing our progress on the Eco-Club formation in due course!
