Another year – untamed and unforgettable

Testament to our ongoing conservation and tourism efforts in the region, where Wilderness Sabyinyo also recently underwent a refurbishment.

Some even hiding out above camps or walking on planes. We also followed a supermom cheetah and her five cubs at the recently renovated Wilderness Chitabe Lediba. And an incredible sighting that saw 11 cheetah in one sitting. That’s a lot of spots!

Which included a mischievous mob of mongooses, a grumpy gorilla in the rain, and some wild dog-kudu chaos at a waterhole. And alongside those unbelievable sightings we discovered that a Wilderness guide may just have the most thrilling job in the world.

They wowed with pictures a plenty and we watched from near and far as they brought Africa’s wildest, untouched places to life on our screens, inspiring others to plan their own adventures.

And were honoured by the love shown in return, resulting in many awards – while at the same time knowing that wherever you decided to go we would get you there safely and securely, thanks to 10 years of Wilderness24.

We reminisced, laughed, danced, and were reminded of the good times we’ve shared and the people we met along the way. Four decades where every footprint left a story and every sunset banked a day full of memories.  

And together with Sealand, we launched a brand new range of handmade, upcycled travel gear. We also shook hands with countless other friends, both old and new, with common goals of protecting lions, rhinos and much more.

Our smiles are echoed on the faces of the children whose lives we have been honoured to be included in, thanks to our CITW programmes.
