Qorokwe has a stunning new treetop walkway – quite literally elevating the already glorious camp experience. Connecting all the rooms to the main lodge area, the entire walkway covers almost a kilometre.
The design embraces the trees in its path, making it seem as if the walkway has grown out of the surrounding woodland. Our guests are now safely tucked away at a squirrel’s-eye view – with great panoramas of the forest and meandering wildlife below. Every so often the walkway ramps down to ground level allowing our wild residents to pass safely by, either to slake their thirst at the camp lagoon or to retreat into open grasslands. A feature that the hippos are already enjoying on their nightly commute from the Qorokwe lagoon.
What’s more, the deck allows guests to earn a treat at high tea and enjoy some wholesome and scenic exercise along the stretch.
